The Fourth Corner Fly Fishers (4CFF) was founded in the Spring of 1972 by local anglers of the ten charter members. One remains, Wayne McLemore, who is active to this day.

Among the club's many members are accomplished photographers, authors, and video photographers.

In addition to the fellowship, the club's stated aims and purposes are Conservation and Education. To this end over the years the 4CFF's have been providing classes for middle and high schoolers, college students, and the general public of all ages. Instructions have included in no particular order all aspects of the sport: fly tying and casting, habitat conservation and rehabilitation, observing land owners' property rights as well as respect of local, state, and federal regulations, good sportsmanship, and angling ethics.
